What each stage actually means.
Freight status labels are notoriously vague. Here is what ours mean in plain terms.
Booking confirmed
Space is reserved on a specific sailing or flight. Your reference number is live and the cost model is fixed.
Cargo received
Goods are physically at the origin warehouse or port, counted against the packing list and photographed.
Export cleared
Origin customs has released the shipment. Documentation is filed and the container is cleared to load.
In transit
On the water or in the air. The ETA updates against the carrier schedule, not the original booking.
Import clearance
At the destination port awaiting duty payment and release. This is where most unexpected delays occur.
Delivered
Signed for at your warehouse, 3PL or the assigned Amazon fulfilment centre, with a proof-of-delivery reference.
If the number will not resolve.
A few things worth checking before you assume something has gone wrong.
New bookings can take up to 24 hours to appear once the carrier issues the first event. If it has been longer, check for a transposed digit. Magnetrix references follow the format MX- followed by five digits. Still nothing? Send us the reference and we will trace it manually the same day.
Ocean freight is genuinely quiet mid-voyage. Between vessel departure and arrival at the destination port there is often no new carrier event for a week or more. That is normal, not a fault. The ETA continues to update against the carrier live schedule even when the status label does not change.
ETAs shift with port congestion, weather routing and customs queues. A movement of one to three days is routine. Anything larger triggers a notification from us with the reason and the revised plan, so you should hear it from us before you see it here.
Yes. The timeline runs through to the assigned fulfilment centre, with the final event recorded at FBA check-in. Note that Amazon own receiving can lag physical delivery by several days, and that gap is on their side.
Anyone holding the reference number can view the shipment status. The page does not expose commercial values, supplier names or invoice detail. If you need access restricted further, ask us to enable authenticated tracking for your account.
